CREED AND PHILIP DOBOY TAYLOR - SUTTON TAYLOR FEUD
The above tintype has been in our collection for a couple of years .It was purchased for the subject matter. Three armed males in a circa 1870 tintype .
While researching JOhn Wesley Hardin, I read about a feud in Texas that he was involved in to a certain degree. The feud was called the Sutton- Taylor Feud.
I saw an image of a man involved in the feud by the name of Creed Taylor. I compared our tintype above to the Creed Taylor image and thought that the center man in our photo resembled him.
He does have the same facial structure Ect....
After seeing the drawing of his son Doboy I thought that we may have Doboy and Creed in our tintype.
