Check out our new Sam Houston 1/2 plate daguerreotype added 6/29/13
One of our latest images is very interesting. It was thought to be Wyatt Earp from the previous owner It has M & W Earp scratched on the back of the fullplate tintype. .After we recieved the tintype we discovered that when you hold the back of the tintype at an angle to light you can read a very faint Doc Holliday with some U.S. agents.. When compared to the known drawing of Holliday it was an exact match. We believe that two of the men with Holliday are Morgan and James Earp. The young man standing next to Holliday is 100 % positively Warren Earp. . All of these men were in Tombstone in 1879 until the shootout in 1881 . Someone has scratched in a beard Etc.. on Docs face but you can easily tell it matches to the known image.
