a new look at history

This is our tintype photo of Virgil Earp with a woman we believe is his 3rd wife Allie Earp. They met in 1873 and were said to have married in 1874 although there is no known record of them being legally married. Both have Stevens Tip - up rifles in the tintype. These rifles were made from the early 1870's untill the mid 1890's. Virgil was in the gun battle at the O.K. Corral.
Our photo shows a younger thiiner Virgil Earp than the older heavier looking known image. He looks to be in his early 30's in our photo which we believe was taken in 1875 or 1876.
